Announcing this here at the valedictory function here on Thursday evening, Regional Commissioner Amita Prasad gave approval to the request.

Lauding farmers practising organic farming in different parts of the district, she advised horticulturists and floriculturists to ensure that their avocation resulted in good income generation and created employment opportunities.

One of the methods to boost their income was to make value-additions to their produce to fetch a better price in the market, she said.
