THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ore Kadal, directed by Shyamaprasad, has been selected for the John Abraham Award for the best feature film of 2008 by the Federation of Film Societies of India. Babu Thiruvalla’s Thaniye received the special mention of the judging committee. Cash prizes of Rs.15,000 and Rs .7,500 will be given to the director and producer of the best film respectively. They will also get a citation and a statuette. The film which received special mention will be given a citation and a statuette. The prizes will be presented at a function to be held at Mannarcaud on May 30. — Special Correspondent
