Kingfisher to set up training academy
To offer advanced certificate course in aviation, hospitality management of 12 months duration
HYDERABAD: Kingfisher Training Academy (KTA) will set up its training institute in Hyderabad after tasting success in Mumbai and the institute would train candidates both for the aviation and hospitality management sectors.
Rajesh Verma, Chief Mentor of KTA said the Hyderabad centre would be operational from March 2008 at Punjagutta.The centre would offer advanced certificate course in aviation and hospitality management of 12 months duration. Classes would be held for two hours daily on week days and the course fee is Rs. 1.25 lakh. The second course is of six months duration with the fee being Rs. 1 lakh. The Institute has tie-up with banks that provide education loans.
Mr. Verma said there is a need for trained professionals in this sector with the industry bound to grow at 23 to 27 per cent in the next five years.
He said 76 students from the first batch at Mumbai have already been placed in different airlines and leading hotels. Michael Tan, General Manager, Training said the institute has excellent infrastructure including an Airbus A 320 mock up, food and beverages service laboratory and a grooming suite.
