Two killed in different accidents

CHENNAI: Two persons were killed in two different road accidents reported from two places on Wednesday.
Police said that following information from a person at the spot, the traffic police found the body of a middle-aged man lying on the Velacheri Main Road at around 5 a.m.
It is suspected that it was a hit-and-run case.
The body was sent to the Government Royapettah Hospital.
Further investigation is on.
Woman killed
In another accident, a 45-year-old woman identified as Arul Mary of Vijayapuram in K.K. Nagar was hit by a two-wheeler rider on Raja Mannar Salai in K.K.Nagar on Wednesday.
The victim suffered head injuries.
In a serious condition, she was rushed to the Government General Hospital, where she died.
The Guindy traffic police have registered a case against the accused.
