Bangalore: The Tata Memorial Club of the Indian Institute of Science will organise the 19th Tata memorial science quiz competition for high school and college students in the city on February 28 as part of the National Science Day celebrations. Kavadi Rajesh, quiz coordinator, told The Hindu that the objective of the competition was to nurture scientific talent among students. The response to the quiz competition had been good, he said. Last year, 50 teams participated, he said. Each school could send a maximum of six teams, each comprising two members. They could send their entries by February 14, he said. Students participating in the quiz would be given a special prize along with a certificate, he said. Mr. Rajesh said that the club would distribute prizes to the winners on March 3 as part of the celebrations. For details, call 9886369526 or 9448568833, or email tmc@admin.iisc.ernet.in.
