Woman restored to relatives after one year

TAMBARAM: A 25-year-old woman from Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district was restored to her relatives, one year after she left home following a memory loss.
The woman from Paramakkavur near Paramakudi was injured in an accident after being thrown off a bicycle she was riding, about a year ago. She was missing from her house since then and a case was registered at a police station in Paramakudi Range. A few days later, she was spotted by the police at Koyambedu bus terminus and a medical examination revealed that the woman was suffering from memory loss, the Tambaram police said. She was then kept under the care of a private home looking after orphans and mentally challenged in Tambaram for an year.
Recollects address
About a week ago, she is reported to have expressed her desire to return home and was able to recollect her residential address in Paramakudi, the police said. Personnel from the All-Woman Police Station in Tambaram contacted her parents.
