FAPCCI wants GO 517 scrapped

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Federation of AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) has represented to Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy demanding withdrawal of GO 517, as dealers were finding it difficult to file data on various transactions.

A delegation of the federation led by Atluri Subba Rao, president, impressed upon Dr. Reddy the need for doing away with the GO so that dealers could be saved from the ‘burden’ of complying with the amended provisions and ‘avoidable harassment’.

Official’s assurance

As suggested by Dr. Reddy, the delegation took up the issue with Principal Secretary (Revenue) S.V. Prasad, who assured them that the difficulties of the dealers would be discussed with Commercial Taxes Minister K. Ramakrishna and suitable action taken on the said GO.
