This Day That Age
About 3,000 Delhi school children covered by the Education Ministry’s national discipline scheme entertained Viet Nam President Ho Chi-minh and a distinguished gathering, including Prime Minister Nehru, at the children’s park in New Delhi on February 7 with a colourful programme of parade, marchpast, physical training display and folk dances. The children’s brass and pipe bands played the Viet Namese and Indian national anthems. President Ho thanked the children for their performance, which he said had impressed him very much, and conveyed to them the greetings of their brothers and sisters in North Viet Nam.
