NEW DELHI: Titled “Global Art for Global Peace”, a stall of “hammeratag.com” at the ongoing World Book Fair at Pragati Maidan here is showcasing the art works of acclaimed masters and upcoming artists. The exhibit encompasses art works, books as well as art material. Among the artists whose works are on display are Sunderlal, Puran Khatri, Vishnu Pawan, Shyam Sharma and Neera Dawar. Puran Khatri’s acclaimed work on child labour also finds a place among the displayed works.
Hammeratag.com was awarded a special appreciation prize at the India International Trade Fair this past year for empowering female craftspersons.
Organised on the premise that art, along with books, plays a significant role in promoting peace and harmony around the world, the show has garnered appreciation from several sources. The compilation of art works has been realised in collaboration with non-government organisation Bharatiya Lok Suraksha Sansthan, a body dedicated to overall welfare of artists and craftsmen.
