PUDUCHERRY: Burglars broke open a locked house at Ellapillaichavady and decamped with silver articles on Thursday afternoon. According to the Reddiyarpalayam police, the burglars managed to enter the house when the occupants had gone out for shopping. Silver articles worth about Rs. 25,000 were found to be missing from the cupboards when the family members returned, they said. Unsuccessful bidInquiries, later, revealed that on the same day, burglars tried to strike at another house nearby when the occupants were away. Investigations are on to find out whether the same persons are involved in the two incidents, the police said.
