LLB examinations: The third semester (three year) and the seventh semester (five year) LLB examinations scheduled to begin on February 12 have been postponed. The fresh dates will be announced later.

BDS examination: Applications for the third year BDS (regular) examinations beginning March 4 can be submitted without fine till February 18, with a fine of Rs.50 till February 20 and with a fine of Rs.250 till February 22. Candidates have to remit Rs.200 as fee for the centralised valuation camp, in addition to the regular examination fee.

M.Sc. computer science: Candidates who wrote the first semester M.Sc. computer science (Institute of Distance Education) examinations at SD College, Alappuzha should get the time-table from that college and appear for the practical examination at UIT, Alappuzha on February 13.

B.Com. centre change: There are a few changes in the examination centres for the second year B.Com. examinations beginning February 13. The old examination centre chosen by the students and the new one where they have to write the examinations are given below in that order.

All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram – St. Xaviers’ College, Thumba.

National College, Ambalathara – Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Sree Vidyadhiraja College, Karunagappally – DB College, Sasthamcotta

Immanuel College, Vazhichal – Christian College, Kattakkada.

Mannania College, Pangode – NSS College, Nilamel.

St. Joseph’s College, Aluva – SD College, Alappuzha.

B.Sc. examination centres: Students who have opted for Government Sanskrit College, Thiruvananthapuram as the centre for the B.Sc. part one, two and three (subsidiary) supplementary examinations beginning February 13 should write their examinations at University College, Thiruvananthapuram.

BA examination centres: Male candidates who have opted for Government Sanskrit College, Thiruvananthapuram, as the centre for the BA part one and two supplementary examinations beginning February 13 should write their examinations at University College, Thiruvananthapuram, and women candidates at Government Women’s College, Thiruvananthapuram. This is for non-regular candidates.

Candidates who have opted for Mannania College, Pangode, as the centre for the BA part one and two supplementary examinations beginning February 13 should get their hall tickets and write their examinations at University College, Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates who opted for SN College, Chathannur, as their centre should get the hall ticket and write the examinations at MMNSS College, Kottiyam.

BDS results: The results of the fourth year BDS part one examinations held in October 2007 have been published. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till February 29.

Gulf examinations: Various examinations of the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) will begin at the university’s centres in the Gulf countries on March 11. Applications can be submitted without fine till February 18, with a fine of Rs.50 till February 20 and with a fine of Rs.250 till February 22. The detailed time-table can be had from the university web site from February 12 onwards.

Junior research fellowship: Applications have been invited for the junior research fellowships in science, social science and humanities subjects of the university. Candidates who have cleared the UGC/CSIR, JRF examinations can apply. For the first two years, the fellowship will be Rs.10,000 a month and for the next three years the fellowship will be Rs.12,000 a month.

The application form can be had from the university office. The last date for submitting the completed application form is February 29.
