Boys Sports Company wins

NEW DELHI: Boys Sports Company, Bangalore defeated Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj 2-0 to win the ESPN STAR Sports junior inter-school premier football league.

The league is a schools programme that runs in more than 1,200 schools across 23 cities.

The winning team received Rs. 50,000 while the runner-up got Rs. 30,000.

The following were awarded individual prizes:

D.B. Thakur from Boys Sports Company, Bangalore (Player of the Tournament); K. Abhilash of DPS, Vasant Kunj (Man of the Match); Cletus Paul from Don Bosco School, Mumbai (Best Goalkeeper) and U. Karunakaran from Boys Sports Company, Bangalore (Leading Scorer).
