NEDCAP holds meet

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: The natural gas reserves in Godavari basin might be fully exhausted in four to five decades but there will be no dearth of renewable energy.

Therefore, it is imperative that efforts should be made to optimally utilise non-conventional and renewable energy, said N.B. Raju, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

Speaking at a business meet on ‘Recovery of Energy/Power from Industrial and Commercial Wastes’ organised by the Non-Conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NEDCAP) in Kakinada on Friday, Raju said the MNRE has been promoting the use of renewable energy sources to meet the energy needs.
