ZP members stage walkout

KORAPUT: Zilla Parishad members from the Opposition Congress, under the leadership of Tirupati Guru, Chairman of the Zilla Parishad Coordination Committee, walked out from the Zilla Parishad meeting here on Friday protesting against alleged negligent attitude by the administration towards Zilla Parishad.

BJD members also came out of the meeting along with the Congress members to express solidarity.

However, later the meeting was resumed in the afternoon without members of the Congress and proposals were passed.

The proposals and resolution of the meeting should be treated null and void for it did not have the required quorum, Mr. Guru demanded.
