Cops play role of marriage mediators

BERHAMPUR: The personnel of the women’s police station played the role of mediators to facilitate marriage between two love birds on Friday. Parents of both the boy and the girl opposed the marriage and the parents of the girl wanted the boy to be arrested on rape charges. However, the girl, who was a major, wanted to get married with the boy. The personnel of the police station managed to persuade both families for the marriage which was performed at a temple near the police station.
