Four years’ RI for kidnapping a minor girl

NEW DELHI: A court here has sentenced a man to four years’ rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping a minor girl and outraging her modesty.

Additional Sessions Judge R. K. Yadav convicted Satish and also slapped a fine of Rs.5,000 on him.

The court said the evidence on record proved that Satish had kidnapped the minor girl with the intention of developing a physical relationship with her against her will and also compelling her to marry him.

Captivity

However, the court also took note of the fact that during captivity the accused forcibly tried to establish physical relations with her but retreated when the girl urged him fervently not to commit such an act.
