BSNL offer: bid for fancy numbers

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Telecom Circle of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited on Friday announced the launch of a bidding process for people seeking fancy numbers of their choice, with effect from February 11.

A press release said those interested in getting fancy numbers for prepaid and postpaid numbers would have to register by sending a chargeable SMS to 56666 and then put in their bids.

According the SMS for registration should be SMS REG <SPACE>10 digit mobile number and to profer their bids it should read CHOICE<SPACE>10 digit mobile number <SPACE>AMOUNT.

The release said the selected bidder may use the choice number any existing post-paid or prepaid plan. The bid amount is non-refundable. Those interested may browse the website www.ap.bsnl.co.in and click ‘Fancy Numbers’ to find out more.
