Sri Lankan Tamil, Iranian deported

Immigration authorities said one of them tried to impersonate his brother’s documents
CHENNAI: A Sri Lankan Tamil and an Iranian were deported on Friday to their destination of origin by immigration authorities.
While the Sri Lankan Tamil was deported on charges of impersonation, the Iranian carried a fake French passport.
According to immigration authorities Krishna Pillai Rasakumar (29) arrived by a Sri Lankan airlines flight from Colombo in the morning. He submitted a passport bearing the name of Krishna Pillai Sivakumar.
Fake immigration seal
It had a fake Sri Lankan immigration seal. He was frisked and his original passport recovered from his shoes.
Immigration authorities said the passenger tried to impersonate his brother’s documents.
The Iranian national, Salami Daryoush, arrived from Bangkok in the afternoon and produced the fake passport in the name of De Martine Martin. The authorities recovered his original passport.
