New Delhi confident

Sandeep Dikshit

NEW DELHI: India is confident that the kidney racket kingpin Amit Kumar would soon be handed over by Nepal, where he was arrested on Thursday.

The CBI has taken up the matter with the Nepalese government through the Indian Embassy, said Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Navtej Sarna. “Given the nature of the case and the close cooperation that exists between the legal and security authorities of India and Nepal, we expect that Dr. Kumar would be handed over to us soon.”

PTI reports:

CBI Director Vijay Shanker said a case was filed against Dr. Kumar.
