BBMP launches ‘Madilu’

Bangalore: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Friday launched “Madilu,” a scheme announced to provide post-natal kits to mothers.

In Bangalore city, the BBMP will offer this benefit to women who have their babies at BBMP-run hospitals. Each kit costing Rs. 825, comprises a blanket, bed sheets, a thick mattress, four baby soaps, baby powder, washing soap, a comb, coconut oil, a towel, mosquito net, six diapers, six clothes, warm clothes, toothpaste and brush, socks and woollen gloves for the baby.
