Child dies in fire

SANKAGIRI: A three-year-old child was charred to death in a fire in Vaikundam Agraharam village

near here on Friday night.

The police said that

Sekar (30) and his family were sleeping in their

hut when it caught fire.

His daughter

Devi died in the accident.

His wife Chinnathangam sustained serious

burns and was admitted to Erode Government Hospital. Sankagiri fire service personnel put out the fire.
