THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Tourism Department’s road show in Milan, organised to promote the destination and its unique tourism products, was an enriching experience for tour operators and other stake-holders. As many as 143 persons participated in the event held on February 5. The business session held as part of the road show was attended by major tour operators of Italy. The State was represented by a 14-member delegation led by Tourism Secretary V. Venu. The good response points to the flow of tourists from Italy to the tourist destinations in the State, Dr. Venu said. Italy is one of the five major markets for Kerala Tourism and the effort was to strengthen the market and retain the position, he said. Kerala Tourism had also participated in the five-day FITUR travel trade meet held in Madrid from January 30 to February 3.
