MAJULI MAGIC: One of the world’s largest river islands, Majuli, situated mid-stream of the Brahmaputra river system in Upper Assam, in an aerial view. The Central government has once again sought its inclusion in the World Heritage Site List. The World Heritage Committee is set to meet next in Canada in June 2008.
