Two students killed

PERAMBALUR: Two students of a private polytechnic college here were killed when the two-wheeler in which they were going to their village collided with a lorry at Siruvachur on Tiruchi-Chennai National Highway on Friday.

While B. Anand (21) died on the spot, R. Raja (21) died of injuries at Annal Gandhi Memorial Government Headquarters Hospital in Tiruchi, the police said. The Perambalur Town police have registered a case.

The lorry driver has been taken into custody.
