Varanasi: A police team is going to Delhi shortly to get custody of gangster Brijesh Singh in connection with several cases pending against him here. The district police returned from the national Capital empty-handed last week after Delhi Police refused to hand over Singh, believed to be a close aide of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. “We want Singh’s remand at the earliest to interrogate him in the criminal cases including murder registered against him. A police team would be going to Delhi on February 18 again to seek his custody,” Senior Superintendent of Police S B Shirodkar said today.
