Cardholders warned against mortgaging

HYDERABAD: Families in the State have been warned against mortgaging their ration cards—either white or pink. The Civil Supplies Commissioner has said that the cards were not transferable. If a card was found mortgaged, the family concerned as also the person in possession of the card would be punished. Also, the ration card would be cancelled.
