All set for Mayawati’s rally in Bhopal

Bhopal: People from neighbouring States of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have started thronging the Madhya Pradesh capital to attend the Bahujan Samaj Party’s ‘Sarva Samaj Bhaichara Banao Maharally’ here on Sunday.

The rally, to be held at Lal Parade Ground here, will be addressed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP chief Mayawati.

The rally is a part of BSP’s strategy to mobilise people ahead of Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, senior party leader told PTI adding that it is also part of series of rallies being addressed by Ms. Mayawati across the country.

BSP flags everywhere

Meanwhile, the city is all covered in blue colour with BSP flags and hoardings dotting all major traffic intersections and prominent points in the city.

Meanwhile, security personnel from Uttar Pradesh have taken charge of the security at the rally venue.

However, Madhya Pradesh Government was reportedly upset over Ms. Mayawati’s decision to have her own security for the rally. - PTI
