Man robbed

NEW DELHI: In a daring case of roadside robbery, a 40-year-old jeweller was robbed of his car, jewellery and several thousand rupees in cash at Kalyanpuri here on Friday night.

It all happened when Shashi Kant Mishra, a resident of Kanpur, was on his way from Ghazipur in East Delhi to the Anand Vihar Inter-State Bus Terminus around 9-30 p.m. When the jeweller stopped his car at a secluded place on the road to urinate, four young men intercepted him at gun-point and robbed him of his purse carrying a few hundred rupees, a gold and a diamond ring. They then fled in his Toyota Innova car in which he had kept Rs.40,000 in cash.
