Three killed

Three persons were killed in two different road accidents here on Saturday night.

According to police, G. Karuppasamy (26) of Avarampatti (Virudhunagar district) and V. Mathiarasu (32) of Puliampatti (Tirunelveli district) were going to Rajapalayam from Madurai in a motorcycle when a speeding lorry knocked them down near Subbulapuram. The duo was admitted to the Tirumangalam Government Hospital. While Karuppasamy died soon after admission, Mathiarasu succumbed on the way to the Government Rajaji Hospital.

In another road accident on the Dindigul Road in the city, E. Ravikumar (27) of Madakulam, two-wheeler rider, was fatally hit by a van. — Special Correspondent
