In high spirits: Students having a gala time at the Tycoon 2008 organised by Career Launcher on Saturday.
Hyderabad: The regional final of Tycoon 2008 was more than a business quiz. It was an arena where students from over 50 engineering and degree colleges battled it out intellectually to bag the title of ‘Tycoon’.
The event saw 120 students from different streams competing with each other right from the start. A written test consisting of over a 100 questions was administered wherein 12 top students were short listed for the finals.
12 finalists
Students broke into applause and cheered as the 12 finalists walked onto the stage. The audience was in splits when ever quizmaster, T. Krishna Murthy, member of K-Circle, cracked a joke or two during the quiz.
Anirudh Janak, a student from Aurora Degree College, and Aneesh Surendra from CBIT were the two Hyderabad finalists who will take part in the national competition that will be held in March.
