Gold jewellery, cash burgled

TAMBARAM: Gold jewellery weighing 20 sovereigns, Rs. 20,000 in cash and silver articles weighing 350 gm were burgled from a house in Pathuvanchery near Tambaram.
The burglary came to light on Saturday morning.
Ramadoss, a real estate dealer, was living with his family in a thatched house in Kamaraj Street in Pathuvanchery. The family was building a new house across the road. On Friday night, the family members slept in the new house under construction. When they woke up on Saturday morning, they noticed the door of the thatched house broken open, the house ransacked and the valuables burgled.
Selaiyur police are investigating.
