Snatchers strike at 7 places

HYDERABAD: Chain snatchers struck at seven places in the city on Saturday relieving seven women of their gold chains.

Police suspect the same persons to be responsible for all the seven offences based on the description of the accused given by the victims. In the seven incidents, a black Pulsar motorcycle was used.

Areas targeted

Two youngsters riding the motorcycle started snatching chains from women walking alone on the road from 11 a.m.

First, they snatched the chain from a woman, Eshwari Kumari, at Chaderghat. By evening, they snatched chains from Kamalamma at Saidabad, Girija at Kanchanbagh, Jhansi at Gaddiannaram, Vijaya Shobha and Krishnaveni at Matalaxminagar and Vasavi at Vijayapuri colony, according to the police.
