DK plans protest on Sethu project

CHENNAI: The Dravidar Kazhagam will organise State-wide demonstrations on February 16 demanding early implementation of the Sethusamudram project.

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, DK president K. Veeramani said the project should not be delayed further. The present alignment was selected after many surveys. Sixty per cent of the work had been completed and suggesting an alternative alignment at this stage was nothing but an attempt to sabotage the project. Urging the Centre to complete the project early, DK volunteers will stage demonstrations in all district headquarters.
