Treat in store for Mayadhar fans

Shyamhari Chakra

BHUBANESWAR: The connoisseurs of dance, music and poetry apart from the innumerable admirers of late legendary poet Mayadhar Mansingh will be offered a special treat on February 17 evening here through a unique event of dance and music.

Bhubaneswar Music Circle in association with the Mayadhar Mansingh Trust will host the evening at the RRL auditorium to commemorate the memory of this great son of the soil who was not only a leading poet but a celebrated critic and eminent educationist with 50 published books to his credit.

“Maya Sandhya”, the dance recital with a confluence of three Indian classical dance styles – Bharat Natyam, Kathak and Odissi – and choreographed to the poetry penned by the acclaimed romantic poet, will be the high point of the event. Bhubaneswar Music Circle will also felicitate Odissi guru Gangadhar Pradhan.
