Kakinada: Students of Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET) staged a demonstration at the collector’s office here on Monday demanding speedy completion of the probe into the murder of pharmacy student Ayesha Meera at Vijayawada and punishing the offenders. They submitted a memorandum to in-charge Collector GSRKR Vijay Kumar seeking justice for the family of Ayesha and expressed regret that killers could not be apprehended even 45 days after the crime took place.

The students blind folded themselves as a mark of protest and demanded stern punishment to the killers, one which would act as a deterrent to others who might be having such bestial intentions.

KIET coordinator VV Ramana Murthy, Head of Electronics and Communications Engineering Department Hemant and faculty G Siva Kumar and Sudheer and others took part.
