TDP concern over scarcity of fertilizers

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: Telugu Desam Party district committee has expressed concern over shortage of fertilizers in shops. This was because the administration had no control over market, said Yadla Ramana Murty, district president of the party. There was no action on the memorandum the party submitted in this regard to the District Collector, he said and added that due to lack of control the traders were creating artificial scarcity. As a result, prices of DAP and other complex fertilizers shot up, he told a press conference here on Monday.

Support price

Claiming credit for Rs.100 bonus the Centre had announced over and above the minimum support price for paddy, Mr. Murty said that under the aegis of UNPA, the TDP would stage protest demonstrations before Parliament on February 26 demanding Rs. 1000 MSP for paddy.
