Calf elephant found dead

KORAPUT: A baby elephant was found dead in the forests near B-Singpur in Borigumma block of Koraput district. While the body was lying in the forest for more than 15 days, it was discovered by the nearby villagers only on Sunday. Forest officials who had reached the spot along with the veterinary doctors conducted the post mortem on the spot . This was the first ever death of a baby elephant in Jeypore forest division , official sources said.
