3 injured as train hits truck

Bolangir: Three persons were critically injured when a goods train hit a truck at an unmanned level crossing in Durgapalli near here tonight, police said.

The truck was apparently trying to cross the railway track between Bolangir and Loisingha railway stations when it was hit by the goods train proceeding towards Sambalpur.

The truck driver and two helpers suffered serious injuries and were shifted to hospital. Train services were affected due to the accident and efforts were on to clear the tracks for early resumption of railway traffic. - PTI
