Patna: Sarswati, the goddess of learning, was worshipped with traditional enthusiasm and gaiety in Bihar on Monday. Thousands of pandals were erected across the state with scores of devotees, particularly children and women dressed in yellow, offered puja. Tight security arrangements were made in communally-sensitive areas where pujas were organised, official sources said. Cultural programmes were also organised on the occasion.
