“Science Express” to arrive today

Bhubaneswar: A unique exhibition on wheels – “Science Express” train - highlighting science and technological development will arrive here tomorrow at Mancheswar railway station, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) said today.

Four-day expo

The four-day exhibition on the train, modelled by Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Prodyogiki Sanchar Parishad (RVPSP), is to encourage talented youths to understand the excitement of a career in teaching and research in different disciplines of science, a release from ECoR said.

The train, flagged off by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the German chancellor on October 30 2007 from Safdarjung Railway Station, will be exhibited at 56 stations in eight months.

The major objectives of this Indo-German joint venture is to nurture curiosity among the youths and rekindle their waning interest in science. - PTI
