Japanese grant for Wayanad campaign

CHENNAI: A Japanese grant will bolster the environmental campaign in the hill district of Wayanad in Kerala.

The south India chapter of the Organisation for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement International (OISCA), headquartered in Kozhikode, was on Monday sanctioned $86,193 by the Consulate of Japan in Chennai.

OISCA will use the grant to construct an “Eco Resource Center” in Wayanad. The building will have a conference hall with a seating capacity of 100. It will also have a pair of dormitories. The centre will also serve as a fulcrum for strengthening the networking with other NGOs, government agencies and other organisations.
