Cultural fete

KOLAR: Deputy Commissioner G. Ramachandra emphasised the need for more cultural events to harness the hidden talents of youth.

He was speaking after inaugurating the district unit of ‘EKAVI’, a forum of Kannada organisations. He also inaugurated the district-level Kala Prathibhotsav organised by the forum at T. Chennaiah Rangamandira here on Sunday. Deputy Director of Public Instructions C. Nagarajan lauded the role of ‘EKAVI’ in organising the event. Prema, State vice-president of the forum presided, while district convenor C.G. Murali delivered introductory remarks.
