This Day That Age
The Majesty King Zahir Shah of Afghanistan, who arrived in New Delhi on February 11 from Karachi, was given a warm and colourful reception at the Palam Airport by the President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the Vice-President, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Nehru and members of the Cabinet. In a brief speech at the airport, the Afghan king referred to the ties that exist between India and Afghanistan from the ancient times and said that it was the sincere desire of the Afghan people that these should be further strengthened.
