Jasdeep strikes twice

NEW DELHI: Jasdeep Singh scored two goals to help Lyallpur Khalsa College (Jalandhar) to a 2-1 victory over Municipal College (Rourkela) after the team had trailed 0-1 at halftime in the 15th SAIL Nehru Champion Colleges hockey tournament on Monday. The win helped the Jalandhar make the semifnals.

In another match, DAV College (Jalandhar) defeated CRA College (Sonepat) 3-2. Major Singh (2) and Ajay Kumar scored for the winnerwhile Ashok Kumar scored both the goals for the Sonepat team, to give it the lead twice but the effort proved inadequate.
