R.P. Singh at the NCA

BANGALORE: Left-arm seamer R.P. Singh, nursing a hamstring injury, reported to the National Cricket Academy for fitness assessment tests here on Monday.

R.P. Singh suffered the injury during the fourth and final Test against Australia in Adelaide and was subsequently replaced by Munaf Patel for the ongoing Commonwealth Bank tri-series.

R.P. Singh had a session at the gym and his fitness levels were monitored by Paul Chapman, strengthening and conditioning coach, and physio Paul Close. — Principal Correspondent
