Wired into weddings

Staff Reporter

Website launched to help the auspicious progress

Bangalore: A marriage is supposed to be the most special occasion in a couple’s life, bringing together two families and new relationships forged. Given the importance of such an occasion, families leave no stone unturned in the meticulous planning and execution of a perfect wedding.

There is plenty to do and the families can do with every bit of help, including technology.

To aid the auspicious progress, Techweb Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has launched www.ourwedding.in to help wedding planners plan the perfect wedding through the comfort of the computer.

Allowing its users to browse through the 600 mandaps within the city, the website helps save time, money and also a whole lot of travelling in Bangalore’s highly congested traffic.

The list is laid out alphabetically and can be searched based on name, locality, city and capacity. Intuitive Google Maps are available for each location that allows users to zoom in to the exact location of the hall and plan a trip.

Currently, the website hosts over 600 old and new mandaps in Bangalore and over 200 mandaps in Delhi. It will expand its base to encompass Chennai and Mumbai soon.

Personalised services

Besides this website allows couples to create a personalised wedding website, send online wedding invitations along with interactive road maps to the venue, download attractive ready-to-print card designs, create event and tasks calendar, get SMS alerts for scheduled tasks, create online photo galleries, track budgets and know more about wedding tradition — all for free. At least for now.

Natesh Babu, CEO of Techweb Technologies, said: “Currently, the facilities provided are for free but later we will be charging an amount.”
