The brigadier told the teams to win but in the right spirit. The tournament, christened the Junior Premier League, was open for students below class XI. It was played on league-cum-knock out basis and the teams were named after well-known English football clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United. Boys Sports Company (ASC Centre) emerged the winner at the tournament. The team from Bishop Cotton Boys’ High School was the first runner-up, while the host team was the third best.
