CPI to mark ‘flag day’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Communist Party of India (CPI) will observe February 14 as the ‘flag day’ of its State conference scheduled to be conducted in Thrissur from March 1 to 4.

Death anniversary

February 14 is the death anniversary of R. Sugathan, the revered leader of the Communist movement in Kerala, CPI State secretary Veliyam Bharghavan said in a press release on Monday.

Party activists would observe the ‘flag day’ with various programmes intended to take the message of the State conference to the people, he added.
