Bear cubs killed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two of the three bear cubs born at the city zoo on Monday were killed when they were attacked by an adult male bear soon after their birth. The third cub survived the attack. The cubs were born to a sloth bear brought from Mysore in 1993. The female bear had not been isolated as zoo authorities had failed to notice that the animal was pregnant.
