Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) is jacking up the prices of all varieties of milk and curd from Tuesday. It is also taking steps to bring more milk from outside the State in order to streamline its distribution. Sanjeeb Kumar Patjoshi, Managing Director of Milma, said here on Monday that the price of toned and double toned milk would go up to Rs.19 a litre (Rs.9.50 for 500 ml); Rich to Rs.22 a litre (Rs.11 for 500 ml); Jersey to Rs.21 a litre (Rs.10.50 for 500 ml) and curd to Rs.12 for 500 ml. He stated that milk would be distributed in packets with the old prices printed on them for some more time. — Special Correspondent
